REJUVENATING LITTLE DOBBIES IN STORE POS

KESSLERS APPROACHED US TO ASSIST with rejuvenating Little Dobbies' POS display offerings to enhance flexibility and visual impact in the store, aiming to increase customer traffic and engagement.

This initiative was divided into three key workstreams:

  1. The first workstream focused on developing a versatile modular window display merchandising system capable of crafting captivating exhibits suitable for various window sizes. This system's adaptability and upgradability are vital for effectively promoting the diverse product range.

  2. The second workstream entailed designing a column cladding solution to optimise previously unused column space within the store, thereby expanding the retail area in store. This innovative approach not only creates additional retail space but also enhances the overall aesthetic of the stores.

  3. Lastly, the third workstream involved suggestions on customer engagement tactics as a means to replace traditional wall gondolas with more experiential displays, designed to encourage customer engagement and build brand advocacy.

ONE: MODULAR WINDOW DISPLAY MERCHANDISING SYSTEM

Look & feel moodboards were created for the proposed route.

Materials pallette was developed alongside a toolkit of parts.

We created a 3D visual to showcase the kit of parts in a realistic configuration, the addition of plants and accessories were used to demonstrate merchandising flexibility.

The modular system was scalable to allow for displays ranging from large to small with the added flexibility of being able to create a feature display area.

The merchandising system showcased as the window display for the Richmond store.

TWO: COLUMN CLAD SOLUTION

A kit of parts was delveoped to deal with most column sizes and offered both a scalable and flexible POS display.

THREE: CUSTOMER ENGAGMENT TACTICS

THE PLANT DOCTOR

Create a genius bar style counter in store for members of the public to bring in or seek advice about their struggling house plants with an in-store plant care expert.

An in-store plant doctor would be available to offer advice and help with plant care or take in plants that need a bit of care and attention.

This service would be available to anyone who had purchased a house plant from any Dobbies store and would allow for promotion and sale of plant care items like secatuers and food etc. and would increase footfall within the stores.

The aim would be to increase the footfall in the stores with the goal of increasing sales as well as growing brand recognition across all social media platforms.

WORKSHOPS & SOCIALS

Create a social workshop space as a new weekly offering to customers. Offer different workshops and classses for activities like terrarium building and flower arranging or talks on plant care.

This service would be ideal for goups of like minded friends and could be offered on a daily or weekly rotation.

The aim of this would be to bring in new customers to Little Dobbies stores and build brand affinity as well as offering the chance to sell more plants and other products.
